ONCE UPON A TIME

There was a kid, a camera, and a Caterham.
Twenty five years later, that kid is a man, that camera is a 15 year career in automotive photography, and that love for lightweight cars is stronger than ever.

WHERE IT BEGAN.

GET LOST was founded by automotive photographer George Williams, known as GFWilliams.

The story begins with a childhood obsession of lightweight cars thanks to GFW’s father owning a Caterham 7. This eventually led to GFW owning a series of lightweight sports cars which led up to owning a Liquid Yellow Lotus Exige V6.

The story from here isn’t just about the car, but also the adventures, with road trips far and wide in Europe, each creating amazing memories.

Over the course of 8 years, GFW also modified his Exige, starting simple with things like more power, better brakes, and dampers, but it didn’t take long for GFW to start creating totally bespoke parts for the car. This eventually led to a “full commit” moment, deciding to build the car into something unique and special. The body was changed, and then painted in a unique shade of purple, while also incorporating a huge number of bespoke features, such as faded, tinted carbon elements, and even making a one off, chassis mounted, rear wing.

This project has been the perfect test bed to understand the process of building a car, but also highlighted the value of fully designing and planning a build before

Automotive photographer for over 15 years, shooting the most extreme and bespoke cars the automotive industry has to offer. Studying design of the vehicles in order to show them off in the best light possible. Having seen, been inspired by, so many of these amazing cars and companies, it’s given GFW an in depth understanding of what buyers really value.

For the past 15 years, GFWilliams has photographed some of the most incredible cars in the world. From supercars to restomods to race cars, he’s been in and around the full spectrum of the automotive industry. And along the way, he’s paid attention. To how they looked. How they drove. How they were built. How they made you feel.
